Nikhil Chinappa

Nikhil Chinappa born on 6th June 1973, is a MTV video jockey from Bangalore, India. He is the host of shows such as MTV Select, MTV Chillout (India), MTV Super Select, MTV Discover n Download and MTV Splitsvilla 2

Personal life and background

Nikhil Chinappa was born in Bangalore. His father was in the Army, he moved to many places in India before settling down in Bangalore. Though his roots lie in coorg district in Karnataka.

He studied in Hyderabad Public School and graduated from BMS college with B.Tech in Architecture.

He is married to DJ Pearl.

Career

Nikhil Chinappa joined Madras FM as a radio jockey, where he earned a pet name-flavour boy and a big fan-following. In 1996, he won the MTV VJ Contest. He is well known for his MTV Select program.

He has silver rings on all fingers including thumbs. He loves trekking and sky diving.

He acted in a film Snip with Sophia Haque and created ripples for some rather outrageous scenes with her.
