Hi!

I have just finished watching today’s (31st July) episode of India’s Got Talent – Khoj 2. I must say that I am shocked about how Sajid Khan made an anti-Sikh statement and got away with it. How dare he! How dare Sajid Khan talk about violence in Sikhism when everybody knows why the Sikhs picked up Kirpans in the first place. It is a fact, if he has not aware of the history, that if all Sikhs including women and children had not lifted the sword to fight forced conversions of the Hindus, we wouldn’t have seen a single Hindu in India today.

Secondly, I am amazed at Sajid Khan’s audacity in talking about violence and children whereas he himself has, during Boogie Woogie encouraged, in fact, insisted that children slap each other. Why did he use his position as guest judge in the show to make children indulge in voilence? All in the name of being funny? I have not seen anything so ridiculous.

I demand an apology from Sajid Khan to all Sikhs worldwide for his anti-Sikh comment on the next episode of the show. Believe you me, if you think that your channel can just get away with this outrageous act, you are mistaken. If Sajid does not apologize during the next show to all Sikhs, I will start a movement against your program, and will ensure that your program closes down before it is complete. I will gather all Sikhs against your show. I can and I will involve the Akal Takht at Amritsar. You will not hear the end of this until the apology comes forth.

Regards,

Dear IGT organizers,

I got online instantly as soon as I saw the Sikh community dance. I dont know about the sentiments bit but for a fact that my 2 yr old son watching the act said he wanted to do the same.

Here i agree with Sajids stand point that it would be wrong for involving kids as part of the act. I dont know abt Sajids past but at least I thank God for his right reasoning this time.

God Bless

Hi!

I am also agreed with the comments of Manminder kaur regarding anti-sik statement given by the sajid khan. If he never knows the history of sikhism than why he is commenting like that…

Not even in india all the world know about sikh itihas and known about the kurbanis made by sikhs in past and out of 100, 90% hindus have good faith in gurugranth sahib ji and give respect to those who can sacrifice their lives to protect hindu dharam in india.

He never knows that gatka (a commercial art) is also performed by our 10th Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji and its a Yudh Kala given to sikhs for self defence and to protect the peoples from Mughal emporeres in ancient times.

I also demand an apology from Sajid Khan to all Sikhs worldwide for his anti-Sikh comment on the next episode of the show. If he does not apologize before the next show to all Sikhs, we will start a movement against your programe, and appeal all sikh organisations to come on front and start the movement against this programme.

Dear IGT,

Sorry to see you have a real duffer for a judge. Surely a goal of IGT is to not just entertain but also to educate your audience in some great Indian arts. The Sikh performance was one such wonderful example. It is then unfortunate that you have a simple foolish minded person who cannot see and then promote and appreciate this Indian art highlighting self respect and self defence.
As per other’s comments above I also request that you educate your judge and get him to apologise and explain why he behaved in a such a way.

DEAR IGT,
seen the show feel its is improving in its collection of talent from the earlier episode. Yes, but there is one thing that demands instant attention. Give us back our shekar Kapoor. Demure, Sauve, well read (it seems) and such good comments and last but not the least balancing the other two ladies is the need of hour. Sajid does not fit the bill at all. In the episodes that I have seen the other two judges Sonali and Kiron look like as if they are stopping Sajid from pressing the buzzer. He objected to the Kid on the show carrying a sword. Despite Kiron kher trying to make him understand he staged a walk out. Now pray tell me why does he approve his sister on a similar show on another channel showing kids doing weird things as well dancing without a net below them and doing acrobatics…. Sajid answer that first. secondly, there have been instances when he has been utterly rude to the contestants. Learn alesson or two from the other Judges. In all sincere request get anyone but these senile sister brother duo who nothing to boost about but their ignorance. Instantly please replace him.

well i wan’t to tell sajid that buddy you need to judge the show, just go with that and don’t try to teach what a performer must do.

moreover; for your information….gatka is a self protection martial art and it’s your choice when you wan’t to learn it. now whether you are 6 years or 50 doesn’t matter..

i request indias-got-talent to ask sajid to applogize to whole sikh community in front of those performers in your next show.

Hello to everybody, specially to Sikh Brothers & sisters!!

If you actually try to understand what Sajid said only then you will get to know but the condition is you have to think beyond the region & religion. Mr. Sajid Khan did not disrespect sikhs and particulary the thing that group wanted to present before everybody. Whatever Mr. Said said was correct. I personally feel & think that the performance given by sikhs was worth enjoying but after a certain period it went wrong, it started tossing out the feeling of violence. I must say that the act was violent. One should not encourage that kind of acts.

@@ Akash: Dear Mr. Akash, i feel a lot of information has been put up before my post. But still It’s my humble request that first of all try to mind your language. I have no hesitation to say that existence of hinduism in India is just because of sikhs i.e. Gur Teg Bahadur Ji sacrified himself for this noble cause.
No doubt it was not a favour, but being from hindu community you should atleast not be so thankless. Remember these lines quoted ” Naa baat kahun main ab ki naa baat kahun main tab ki. Agar naa hote Guru Gobind Singh, to ‘Sunnat’ hoti sabki…..”
As Guru Gobind Singh ji was the one who encouraged his father Guru Teg Bahadur Ji to sacrify his life.

Secondly, kirpaan is the inseparable part of a sikh’s life. Gatka team leader Mr. Kamaljeet Singh has clearly told this to “the” judge during the show. But his/others’ idiocy is not going to stop us, the sikhs, from using the sword for self defence and for defence of the weak.

India’s
Got Talent Khoj 2
created a new controversy that
directly attacks Sikh feelings.
Every Sikh is hurt by comments
made by Sajid Khan, after the
splendid performance of Bir
Khalsa Gatka Dal. Sajid Khan, a
bollywood personality who is in
the jury of India’s Got Talent.
Bir Khalsa Dal performed Gatka
(Sikh Martial Art) along with a 5
year old young bhujangi
performing with double kirpans
as well as Kirpan Dhal, and Sajid
made stupid comments
regarding this. Gatka is part of
Sikhism, and every sikh holds it
very close to their heart and,
being deeply attached to it, it is
inseparable from a sikh. It is a
defensive martial art but Sajid
rudely pointed out that this is
leading to violence, as well as
saying that it looked
like a danga (riots) on stage.
When jathedar of the Gatka Dal
tried to explain and clear to him
why this young singh is
performing it, Sajid stopped him
in between and said that no one
is born with a sword, this
displays his very limited
knowledge.
Sajid said,”No one is born with
Talwaar” but Mr. Khan if you
don’t know about Sikhism, let us
update your limited knowledge.
In 1699, the tenth Guru Sahib Sri
Guru Gobind Singh Ji created
Khalsa panth with a sword, since
then Khalsa is born with a
Khanda (double edged sword).
Regardless this was about
Sikhism and now on the issue of
you calling your self a Khan, but I
feel sorry for you as you don’t
seem to know much about
Islaam too. If you have any
knowledge of Karbala Ki Jung, in
which grand son of Mohammad
Sahib fought & got shaheed. He
learnt this form of art in
weaponary and specialised in it
since his childhood.
During the attack of Abdali,
when Ahmad Shah Abdali
returned from Delhi in March,
1761 with lots of gold and more
than 2,000 beautiful, young girls
as prisoners. The Sikhs decided
to save these innocent girls. Sikhs
fighted with Abdali and they
freed the women prisoners and
escorted them back to their
homes. It was all possible
because of their
martial skills, and with all respect
due to this art of yudh that the
sixth Guru Sahib Sri Hargobind
Sahib blessed us with. You have a
problem with a 5 year old
bhujangi playing with Sword,
Sajid, he is son of Guru Gobind
Singh. Sikh panth also has
shaheeds who are just 1 hour
old, Every true Sikh is a saint
soldier ready to give shaheedi at
any time and at any age.Sikhs are
brave and fearless,as It is a
religion of Tigers and they will
certainly roar like one.
Sajid has no right to comment on
that kid’s act as there is no age
limit in the show. If Sajid Khan
could not see the talent in the
Gatka performance then it is his
problem, he is a Judge and he
has to judge the performance of
artists, and not comment on their
art. Sajid Khan deeply hurt the
feelings of Sikhs. On the behalf
of every Sikh, We demand an apology
from sajid Khan for his appalling
comments on Gatka .

As an American Sikh, I think the negative response of the judge is totally ridiculous. America is where reality shows started, and let me tell you, age is not what you are supposed to be judging. Your job is to judge talent. Some of the most popular talent on our reality shows has been children doing amazing things.

Here in America, three year olds go to martial arts classes. There is nothing strange or weird about a discipline such as this.

The discipline, courage and talent it would take to handle a sword with such precision as demonstrated by that 5 year old deserves recognition. Just because of the judge’s ignorance about a culture, a lifestyle and a teaching is no excuse to write off an amazing display of marital arts.

If you wish to continue to have American viewers such as my family, then cultural ignorance by the judge will need to be adjusted.

That is an act of violence. Does he condemn when shia muslims beat and cut eachother on the street as a part of their ritual? Does he condemn Islam for what it stands for? Islam is another synonym for violence and opression.. and khalsa panth is the only wall that stopped Islamic domination of india.

I have seriously doubted the abilities of Mr. Sajid Khan earlier also and his performances elsewhere have also been full of ‘PJs’ and stale stuff. But this behaviour of Mr. Sajid has taken him to new lows.
Much has been said here and I don’t want to repeat all that again. I just have few questions to ask Mr. Sajid:-
1. What is his idea of non-voilence ?
2. Is he a Vegetarian and thus exhibits his believe in non-voilence ? (Most of the members of Gatka group would have been strict veg.)
3. Does he not perform ‘kurbani’ (Slaughter of goat/sheep) on Id-ul-Juha, in full view of all the children at his home ?
4. What are his views about a recent reality show aired in Malaysia where a 10 yr old was judged as ‘Best Imam’ and for that he had to perform all the duties of an Imam according to Islamic law and it included slaughtering sheeps and washing corpses ?
5. There are many schools where martial arts like karate / judo are taught mandatory from very tender age. Are all those schools promoting voilence ?

Mr. Sajid Khan grow up !!!

Sincerly,

Guru Teg Bahadur who apeared as a “Hind Di Chadar”.It was 4 Sahibjadas who secrificed thier life in order to keep the Sikhism & Other Religion alive here.Tell this stupid Sajid khan.I hope our KLF or BBI would come and let this guy know why sikh keeps Krpan.

Sajid: 1) It is not violence and not even self defense. Khalsa, takes up arms to defend others and the downtrodden. Sajid read some history, if it was NOT for khalsa, you would have been a taliban or mughal slave in khandhar. 2) And abt presentation of martial arts; it is not some bollywood stunt done by Akshay Kumar in ur idiotic movies but REAL game. 3) You should be more worried abt kids losing values watching your idiotic movies with vulgar language & double meaning jokes. Ur movies are abt guys want to get laid and sex and what do u know abt values, martial arts, religion and what to teach kids?

Sajid, you are one of the most irritated and arrogant person in this Industry. I think such people do not deserve to be judge, who are always being judged negative through common peoples.

You can not have a neutral judgment, because you are yourself very comlicated.

You should stop to be judge of this program otherwise we will stop to watch it.

I agree with All my Sikh Brother’s…Sajid should apologies…and get the hell out of this show he cannot be a Judge…SAJID ASK YOUR SELF WHAT TALENT YOU HAVE…being in the flim industry your not a good flim maker/Actor…then what the heck do you know about IGT…

Sajid this is FYI…Kesh, Kanga, Kara, Kachchhera, and Kirpan—are the five articles of faith endowed to the Khalsa Sikhs…GO AND GOOGLE ALL THESE…

Hats Off to the Khalsa Sikhs who are teaching their kids the Tradition…Sajid Learn from them…and teach your kid about Islam…and try to be a good muslim…

you have NO right to talk about or criticize Sikh community who has given their lives for our country…

I think this show is going from bad to worse….the way the judges are saying yes to anybody and everybody just because they found them entertaining (without any real talent) is getting a bit too much. The judges should try to watch for some real talent rather than making a joke out of this serial…..Sajid, Kirron, Sonali…watch America’s Got Talent and maybe you’ll see my point…

i have just watched this episode n m shocked with sajid khan’s anti sikh comment. sorry for the expression but this asshole doesn’t know that why our kids has sowrds in their hands. he doesn’t know that two younger sons(AGE 7 YEARS AND 9 YEARS) of sri guru gobind singh ji were layred in brick wall alive. i just want him to ans publically where was all those sajid khans when happened. and it has nothing to do with violence it just protection deffence, not even self deffence for others as well, ant it happened history knows hindu religion exists just because sikh men, women and children had sowrds. one more thing what is loin’s fault if he was born loin he cannot pretend to be goat.

I was so shocked to see Sajid Khan as judge. This guy has made only stupid movies and tv shows and has nothing significant to vouch for. Please and please bring Shekhar Kapoor back. He was one great attraction of the show and no less than any talent. It was a pleasure hearing him and his personal experiences.
The show will take a great dip in viewership if he is not reinstated. We want Shekhar Kapoor back.

Just show the episode on 20th aug where in 2 diffn contestants showed off their talent with knifes piercing their body and one of them trying to poke knife in his eyes. Was really happy to hear that the judges discouraged them from their further appearance. But was also discouraged to see why it was there in the first place ? It should have been removed in the first place while editing.

These Judges are totally mad. They have no guts to see the talent. How could they judge.

A old man swollen a Sword, then judges rejected him saying that this is not tallent.

A person broked many tubes over him but that was not talent in eyes of judge.

A person (on 20th aug 2010) showed a show knife act on his eyes. Think how long he would have practised, but Fool sajit says:

If any child tried that act in home then that contestant would be responsible.

and immediately after that another contestant closed his eyes with a piece of cloth and then he done some acts using knifes and swords. Kiran and sonali were not even able to see the act but said that act was very good.
this act was liked by all the three judges.

i want to ask to these fool judges (as per sajit comment for the previous contestant)
If any child tried that act in home then would that contestant be responsible.

Why they have passed that contestant or why they have failed the previous one

Why these judges are having different criteria for different people

India got talent is not searching for any talent. This is dance show only.

Ask them to watch other shows like “ America got talent”, “Riples believe it or not” etc.

Then they would might know that what talent is.

(to m dear sikh frnds) it was obviously a matter of shame of how sajid represented the topic.but his cause has a standpoint….to a sikh, kripan is an object of pride…but when it subjects to other community the picture takes a retroverted stand. His remark was very harsh and amoral indeed, but his cause was just. children of other community think it is cool to take up a sword………..nd by the way, maybe at some point of time sikh bestowed grt help towards the hindus(as expected, coz we thnk u no less than a brother)…but proclaiming that we wouldn’t hve survived is an outrageous demand. we hindus are from one of the oldest still continuing religion. we would hve suffered a grt deal, but nonetheless we would hve survived. maybe we are very peace loving….but if time pressed us,we would hve retaliated(as always)…with no disrespect intended to u guys,we asked help because we think you as our own

Dear Organisers, main bahut dukhi hu es show se only boz of judges.india ke telent ki khoz kar rahe ho aur
jiske pass koi telent naho use hamare orgenisers ne
judge bana diya hai.mujhe lagta hai shirf kam paise me ye judge agaye honge.jab hum India ke telent
ki baat karte hai to chahiye thaa ki koi aisa judge jinke pass telent ki barmar ho unhe india wale

jante ho unke telent ko sari indiawale pahchante ho.ye sajid aur sonali ke pass kya telent hai hume
bata painge bhalla, jinhe koi janta tak nahi kya mazak bana rakha hai.ye log telent tak dekh nahi pate ye
judge kya karenge ainkhe paluose chhipalete hai aur bolte hai ye koi telent nahi. Are bhai inhe koi samjhaye
ki jo log telent dikhane ate hai wo pagal nahi hai ,jis act ko ye dekh nahi pate wo act act nahi.jadi act
or telent unki najro me nahi hai to jara karke dikhaye.ye phir program suru hone se pahle rule bana dena
chahiye tha ki ,jis act ko dekhne hi himmat hamre judges me naho wo act nahi mana jayega.matlab ye ki jo
judges ko pasand aye wohi act hai baki contestent kitna bhi muskil act kare jo judges ko karne me 7 janam
lag jainge wo act ya talent nahi.Koi gana gata hai to act ya best talent hai but yadi koi marsal art ki
ak act pes karta hai yani apne body pe aisi aisi chije todta hai jo kisike bas ki bat nahi wo en komal
judges ko act nahi lagta.I request plz En bacho ke hatho me ye show na rahne de jinge khuchh pata na ho.
Ye India’s got telent ka show hai janha All India se log telent dikhane ate hai.aur jinhe india wale jante
tak nahi app logo ne judge bana diha hai.Plz enhe hataye aur India ke mahan actors or ya kisi bhi field me
maharat hasil ho unhe judge bana ker lainye.jinke judge karte dekh contestents ko gurv mahsus ko naki dukhh.
Per abhi to act karne wale hi judges se bhari hai. ye sajid kon janta hai es comedian ko ??? ese better to
Raju srivastav ko rakh lete, es bendre ko kya ata hai ise to acting tak nahi ati ak ad filmo me role mil
zane se wo India’s got telent ka judge ban sakta hai.Very Strenge.Kuchh had tak Kiran Kher thik thak hai.
Plz plz kuchh karo Organisers.I appeal for all contestens Plz don’t do the any act front of non telented
Judges.Its very samefull.
